This year as we strive to fulfill our Church vision of being “a caring sharing family of God where every member of the family is a disciple and every disciple is a minister” our vision is for every member of the Shiloh family to be a partner with our God and a partner with our Pastor.

The Bible teaches us to walk in this kind of divine partnership!

• 2 Corinthians 6:1-2 (NIV) states: “As God’s co-workers we urge you not to receive God’s grace in vain. 2 For he says,“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”[a] I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

• Philippians 1:4-6 tells that the apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Philippi saying,  “4 In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

God is calling for each of us at Shiloh to be partners with God in His work and partners with Pastor Hentz in the gospel!

 What does this partnership mean for us in 2016?  God has said:

Partnership means Membership!  Everybody person who has joined the Shiloh family should be a member of the family in good standing.  Every member of our family should be baptized and visibly active with our church as God permits.

Partnership means Worship!  Every member of the family should regularly worship God in public with fellow family members at one of our worship experiences (Wednesday at 7pm, Sundays at 8:30am or 11am). Every family member should also worship the Lord in private through prayer!  Some other forms of worship are fasting and meditation.

Partnership means Discipleship!  Discipleship is about having the discipline to consistently be a learner of Jesus.  Jesus’ Twelve Disciples were those who walked with Him, observed and learned from Him.  All believers should be disciples and should study.  You can study at Shiloh with other family members in the Pastor’s Wednesday Night Bible class, Sunday School class, Rev. Woodson’s Thursday Night class, Bi-weekly Young Adult Bible class, or a Shiloh Empowerment Institute class on Saturdays or Sundays.

Partnership means Stewardship.  Stewardship is about giving God our Treasure, Time and Talents.  Stewardship is about seeking first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and watching him add all the things we need to our lives (Matthew 6:33).  Partners will make God a first priority financially and consistently brings a weekly or monthly tithe amount of their income or will give an offering of $62.50 or more per week or $270.85 monthly.  Partners will make God a priority physically by giving their time and talent by serving in one ministry or volunteer capacity at Shiloh!

How can you start your partnership with God and your Pastor?

Take serious our theme for January, February, and March!  Our theme is: “Jubilee:  A Time of Starting Over with God!”  Ask God to show you how to start over with Him!

Start this Sunday with making the commitment to attend a worship service at Shiloh once a week (8:30am or 11am Sundays, 730pm Wednesdays).

Join a ministry or sign up for a volunteer opportunity on Sunday, January 24, 2016.  Call the church office and share your desire if you want to sign up before January 24.

Take the partnership pledge to bring a weekly or monthly tithe amount of your income or to give an offering of $62.50 or more per week or $270.85 monthly.  Place your pledge card in basket along with your contribution when tithes and offerings are received in church on Wednesdays or Sundays.

• Join one of our Bible classes starting this week.

Stand with Your God and Your Pastor and in 2016 help Shiloh bring God’s Kingdom on Earth as it is Heaven!
