Dear Beloved Members, Friends, and Partners,

For 126 years, Shiloh Baptist Church has stood as a pillar of faith, love, and service in New Rochelle. Our story began in 1899 in the humble home of Brother and Sister Richard and Eliza Jones—formerly enslaved people whose courage and faith gave birth to what would become one of the most enduring spiritual institutions in our city. From that sacred beginning, God has blessed Shiloh with generations of faithful pastors, devoted members, and a powerful legacy of worship and community impact.

Through wars, civil rights struggles, and times of momentous change, Shiloh has been a steady light—feeding the hungry, nurturing youth, uplifting families, and standing for justice and hope. Our sanctuary at 185 Lincoln Avenue has been more than a building; it has been a refuge for prayer, a classroom for learning, and a gathering place for joy, healing, and transformation.

This year, as we celebrate our 126th Anniversary, we look to the future with gratitude and purpose. The interior/exterior of our facility, pews, sanctuary, classrooms, restrooms, food pantry storage, kitchen area, have served thousands and are now need of renewal. To preserve the beauty and functionality of our buildings for the next century of believers, we are launching “The Blueprint” Redevelopment Project (I Chronicles 28:10). Our goal for this capital campaign is to raise $1Million to remodel and redevelop the interior spaces along with the exterior structures of our buildings.

This effort is not just about furniture—it’s about legacy. It’s about ensuring that we honor those who came before us and building a foundation for those yet to come.
